It's been quite a while, almost a year, since we were forced to clarify this blog's status; and with Series 6 filming reports appearing almost every day, it's time to reiterate, at the risk of sounding repetitive or condescending. No one has complained yet. But it happened last year, and it's likely to happen again. Let's be preemptive.
So pay attention. There may be a quiz.
THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. We do not simply report news; we analyse and critique and collate everything that happens in the Whoniverse, constantly trying to be the most entertaining, if not the most definitive, Doctor Who blog on the Web. So when we post spoilers, we will rarely warn our readers, unless it's something so shockingly mind-blowing that we're almost compelled to give fair warning.
Yes indeed, THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. If you come here, you're very likely to find spoilers, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. You're on the Internet: did you not expect to see things you'd rather erase from your mind?
But if you would rather not spoil your viewing experience, you could abandon the Internet entirely, scroll down past posts that even look like spoilers, or simply accept that THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. If you don't want spoilers, try the official BBC Doctor Who site. Of course, they often have minor spoilers as well, though not as many as we do, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER.
Better than the ones in here. |
We will never spoiler-tag our posts, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. Many posts, sometimes several a day, can be considered spoilers in one form or another, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER. Even our comments will contain spoilers, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER, and many people love spoilers. That's because certain people have different thresholds for the amount of information that spoils an episode, so let's just assume that THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER, always and forever. If you find spoilers we haven't yet posted, please let us know, because THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER, and spoilers work best in company.
What Doctor Who blog doesn't have spoilers? The Doctor Who News Page IS A SPOILER. Blogtor Who IS A SPOILER. The TARDIS Newsroom IS A SPOILER. Life, Doctor Who, and Combom is therefore also A SPOILER.
All right, pop quiz time!
- What is this blog? A SPOILER.
- What will we always post without a second thought? SPOILERS.
- What can you expect from most of our posts? SPOILERS.
- How spoiler-y are our spoilers? VERY.
- What's a spoiler, anyway? THIS BLOG.
One more time! THIS BLOG IS A SPOILER, and don't forget it.
This is the last one you'll get. |

Is this blog a spoiler? I couldn't tell from the post.
we have spoilers? no-one tells me anything!
actually my inside leg measurement is a spoiler, as is PCJonathans hat size!
Damn, you spoiled me, I didn't know this blog was a spoiler !
:)
I've been reading for a couple of years now but have never brought this up: I know you have these periodic reiterations of your spoilery status but you also pride yourself on getting new traffic through clever use of keywords, meaning people who don't know the status quo could come here and be spoiled. I realise you have wording to this effect but it's at the bottom of the page. Would something like "A spoiler blog" or one of the Spoiler alert images in this post near the top of the page be more sensible and reduce whatever complaints you receive that make you feel forced into posting updates such as these?
@10thPlanet: After telling Combom I wouldn’t skip anymore days checking in on Life, Doctor Who & Combom I did (don't tell him), and the funniest blog I've EVER read on this site is published. That was very good 10thPlant, hilarious in fact and exactly why I love this site is because of the SPOILERS, I LOVE SPOILERS!
On a side note, I'm currently streaming on Netflix "The Three Doctors', I've paused it as I haven't finished watching it yet, but I wanted to get a glimpse of this Omega everyone is talking about and who may return in series 6 and I love the Darth Vader mask Omega wears and creatures in reddish snot like bubble suits. I haven't finished viewing the movie yet but I hope if Omega comes back in series 6 that he keeps the custom from the "The Three Doctor's" movie.
spoilers - me too, and you misssed another day? grrr :)
Omega is an interesting fellow, and if we find out that he's in it, you'll be the first to know . . . along with everyone else.
