These Blip posts seem to be more and more about Twitter, but as we watch "The Curse of the Black Spot", some of Moffat's latest tweets just get funnier and funnier.

Moffat explained his reasoning behind commissioning a pirate episode.

"V. good, this Pirates episode. More shows should have pirates! That's my kind of note - sod the emotional through-line, MORE PIRATES!!"

And replying to @TokuDeka, Moffat added:

"I'm always suggesting ninjas too. Screw subtext - put in a ninja!"

Before the episode, Moffat wished Hugh Bonneville calm seas.

"Good luck on the high seas tonight. And I just caught up wtih 2012 (yeah, bit late.) Completely BRILLIANT - I was hooting!"

Meanwhile, on a funnier note, this Twitter user cheekily advised Moffat on writing "a plot we dont need pen and paper for to note all the things we dont get". To which Moffat wrote:

"Thanks. I was just being cheerful, go and sneer at someone else."
