For many fans, enlisting with U.N.I.T. would be a dream come true. Defending the Earth from alien monsters, following in the heroic footsteps of Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, maybe even meeting the famous Doctor one day... Now, one group wants to make that dream a reality, and they're looking for recruits.
A new fan site and interactive game inspired by the BBC's "TOP SECRET: U.N.I.T." hopes to leverage the fan power of "Doctor Who" to create a detailed database of all things U.N.I.T. That means not only a detailed account of the organisation's many battles, but also a list of the personnel, weapons, and equipment that U.N.I.T. has employed in its long and storied history.
A year and a half in the making and projected to go live on November 23 (why does that date sound so familiar?), the site is currently seeking recruits. More information can be found by emailing the creators at [email protected], and a (still under construction) version of the site can be accessed here.
Note: at present, the game is in Portuguese but English and other languages are expected to be added later.
