We never actually glimpsed the Ice Warriors in "Waters of Mars", but it sure gave fans a taste for more. Big Finish's Seventh Doctor audio Thin Ice was first discussed back in November, and it will be released on April 30th.
Thin Ice was originally planned for television in 1990 as part of Season 27; but when Doctor Who was cancelled in 1989, the story was placed on a dusty shelf for twenty years. Andrew Cartmel, then-scriptwriter and the mind behind the Cartmel Masterplan, wrote the original script, which has been adapted for audio by Marc Platt.
Now it's been produced for Series 2 of The Lost Stories. With Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, and Big Finish at the helm of Cartmel's original idea, what sort of story should we expect? Big Finish summarized Thin Ice.
