On 11 January, 2011, we had our 5 Millionth Hit. Thanks to all of you, today we made our 6 Millionth Hit, so that's one million hits in only 15 weeks! (Calculating ahead, it should be 8 million hits by Christmas 2011, not including any average increase.)
On quiet days we get daily hits of well over 13,000; on Doctor Who days we pull in about 25,000, demonstrating what an extraordinary readership we have, and of course we're very grateful for that.
Let's have a look elsewhere. We have over 715 followers on Blogger, 970+ on Twitter, 440+ on Facebook, PCJ's Doctor Who Media Youtube account reached one million upload views and fast approaching 2,000 subscribers, and Combom's Flickr account has well over 470,000 views (nothing to do with this blog really, but all the larger Doctor Who images are hosted there).
To all those who read this blog regularly, those who just happens to stumble across us on Google, and even those who care enough to cry out in terror when we make radical redesigns—really, honestly, thank you. It's because of you that we've been able to double our hits in under a year, and it's because of you that we've become increasingly responsive to our readership and more comprehensive in our coverage of Doctor Who than we would have ever thought possible.
A great many of you have become our dear friends, which is why we enjoy every concerted effort in posting, every article you recommend us, every considerate E-Mail, and every comment on every post. It seems too sappy to properly articulate, but surely there is no other Doctor Who blog with such devoted readers as you.
So, yeah, thank you, from all of us. But just know that this milestone, and each one after, means more to us than you'll ever know.
