Doctor Who Rumour — Winston Churchill on a Mammoth?

In this video, there is a strange line read by Today Show host Meredith Vieira, playing a newsreader in her upcoming cameo for Doctor Who. Surprisingly, it seems real.

Crowds lined the Mall today as the Roman Emperor Winston Churchill returned to Buckingham Senate on his personal mammoth.

Yeah, right, it's a spoiler, I know wibbly Wobbly timey Wimey can cause some leftballs, and this looks like a biggie. Can we get excited?

Wasn't there footage of Churchill being treated by a Silurian doctor

We've already seen that there are dinosaurs in the finale - pterodactyls - and Romans in "modern" times, and Churchill being treated by a Silurian Doctor...so why on earth would you think that this was a joke and not an actual spoiler? It fits perfectly with the filming reports we've seen....

THe video clip that you have on this site form the American TV show has a clip (That looks like a DW clip) of the news reader reading the item on a TV seen in a shop window with a roman soldier driving past in a chariot! It looked pretty authentic.

It could have been spoofed up, but it would take quite a bit of work to do that.

I think this is one of the first times that Doctor Who has been widely publicized here, in America, and for it to appear on the Today Show is a big deal. I would hope they wouldn't jeopardize loosing the international audience by falsifying a clip that was all over national TV.

But I do not think it is out of the realm of possibility for things to be "edited" to that the seem a different way than what it will really be in the season show.

He must have just been jealous that Amy got to ride a mammoth in The Forgotten Army.

Of course if Churchill gets to ride a mammoth, I suspect Truman and Stalin will demand a pterodactyl and a t-rex.
